With permission from Xena’s mom, I wanted to give everyone who has heard about 5 year old Xena the good news. Xena will go to the operating room today to get her new heart.
Please pray for the doctors and nurses who will take care of her during the surgery.
Remember Xena’s family and the donor family today that have given this gift of life to Xena.

Praise the Lord….We will pray hard for Xena and the docs and staff involved in her care.
A special prayer for her family that God will give them peace and new hope for Xena’s future.

Xena left the unit for the OR about 20 minutes ago. The hall was lined with family and staff to wish her well. We have had many tears today. Tears of joy for the miracle happening and tears of sadness for the family saying good-bye to their precious loved one. Thank you all for what you do to make so many people aware of the gift of life!
Our prayers are with Xena and her family and the donor family. She is in good hands with all there at UAB. We pray God will give everyone peace in their hearts at this trying time, and He will give blessings of comfort to all.

It is so wonderful to hear about this miracle from the Lord. Hope things go well for you all. I too was blessed with a heart transplant over 11 years ago and my donor and family are from Reform. I have been through your community many time. God bless and may Xena continue to do well.
Xena is now at home she came home on march 1, 2008. She is doing good just having problems with her prograf.
