When: March 1, 2008 — Registration time 8:00 a.m.
Where: Birmingham, Alabama — the large parking lot directly across from the Kirklin Clinic — See Map

Who can raise more money than Tammy Campbell?
Will Vivian Herren walk, skip or run with her bionic foot?
Will Jane Love, Blair Stofel, Megan Muzer and the Soooper Doooper Team Alabama Kids top everyone with the change wagon?
Can you handle the suspense?
We need walkers!
We are asking everyone that can make it to come and walk and raise $100.00. Each person raising at least $25.00 gets a walk t-shirt and the satisfaction of helping reach our walk goal. This has always been a 30 – 50 thousand dollar fundraiser for us — it is critical to our road to the gold! Bring your friends and family!
Lyric Brogden, Vivian Herren, Jim and I are heading up the walk team–and we can guarantee you a great time!! There will be:
- music
- breakfast foods
- face painting
- schmoozing with the UAB folks
- visiting with our team members you haven’t seen for a while
- door prizes
- raffles
- and much more!
UAB goes all out for us on this so it is important we help!
The walk is a little over a mile around the UAB campus — even if you cannot walk, come cheer the walkers on!
Attached is a form for you to download and use to list the names and amounts of people you get to support your walk! Ten people at $10.00 each is your $100.00! Of course if you can raise more — and you know who you are — please do it!
75% of what you raise will count towards your fundraising.
If you are coming from out of town and need a place to stay, let us know — local team members have offered to put some folks up if needed.
Please email Vivian Herren (below) if you are going to walk. Please try to come if at all possible — we plan to have a lunch and Team Meeting to update on some important issues.
Email Joanne and copy Jim (below) regarding the meeting. The length of the meeting will be 2 hours and it will be held in the same vicinity of the walk for easy access.
