Children’s Quilt of Life

Raffle tickets for the “Children’s Quilt of Life” are now available for sale!

This quilt — a true treasure — is another reminder of the urgent need for organ donors.

The squares are the artwork of children with transplants, some that were waiting for a transplant, and children of donor families and transplant recipients. Some of the squares were created at UAB Hospital and others at the AOC Transplant Picnic.

Ruth Watterson, a nurse that works in the Pediatric Cardiothoracic unit and provides care for these children, volunteered her time to design the quilt.

• Tickets are $2 each
• All proceeds go to Team Alabama to help pediatric patients attend The 2008 Games
• The quilt measures 5′8″ x 4′8″
• Drawing will be held in March of 2008
• All checks should be made out to “The National Kidney Foundation / Team Alabama” – or – “NKFAL / Team AL“
